new but familiar

Lately I have been diving into the fic for ships that, in retrospect, I very much shipped at the time, but I didn't know what fanfiction was yet. It's kind of a surreal mix of familiar (I remember these character, how I felt about them) and new (it's my first time exploring the fic, learning what the major tropes were, how people wrote these characters). It's also a lot of plumbing the depths of lj. I'm having fun!

That said, if anybody has recs for fics or authors (or archives or ljs or reclists) for Remus/Sirius or House/Wilson, I will happily take them. I am coming in fresh, so totally open to recs that are considered classics of the ship, or it's assumed everyone has already read.

I have a handful of House recs in my LJ memories here.

Also I think I remember reading a lot by Nightdog Barks back in the heyday.

For Remus/Sirius - have you looked at the Shoebox Project? It was probably the biggest thing of that pairing.

I also really love busaikko's work, especially The Maddest House.
